Malaysian Data Protection Act, expected to enter into force in June

The Malaysian Data Protection Act was adopted in May 2010, but it is expected to enter into force this June.

The act covers seven principles: General Principle, Notice and Choice Principle, Disclosure Principle, Security Principle, Retention Principle, Data Integrity Principle and Access Principle.
